The "Phoenix" in the team name was inherited from "OSG Phoenix" when the team was founded, to "SANEN NEOPHOENIX" through the bj league "Hamamatsu/Higashi Mikawa Phoenix". This "Phoenix" contains the wish, "Never give up and keep flying towards victory, like a phoenix...".
In addition, the "neo" in "Neo Phoenix" means "new" in Greek, and the phoenix of the past has been reborn, expressing the determination to fly powerfully into a new era in the basketball world. Through this team, they will serve as a bridge between their home base, the Higashi-Mikawa area in Aichi prefecture called "Sanen", and the Enshu area in Shizuoka prefecture.
