Postponement of the 2024 IRONMAN 70.3 Higashimikawa Japan Event

Dear Athletes,

 

We extend our sincerest gratitude for your unwavering support and participation in the International Triathlon Competition, "Ironman 70.3 Higashi Mikawa Japan in Atsumi Peninsula," last June. Your dedication and enthusiasm have been the driving force behind the success of our event. We are immensely grateful for the commendations received from the WTC, reflecting an outstanding overall score of 92.2 points. Your contributions have not only elevated the race but also showcased the warmth and hospitality of our region to the world.

However, as we reflect on the past event, we recognize the presence of unresolved issues, including concerns regarding community burdens, regional promotion, and safety considerations. It is our utmost priority to address these matters comprehensively and ensure that future events uphold the highest standards of excellence and inclusivity.

Therefore, after careful deliberation, we have made the decision to postpone the 2024 Ironman 70.3 Higashi Mikawa Japan event. This postponement will allow us the necessary time to address these challenges effectively and foster a stronger sense of unity within our region. We remain committed to showcasing the beauty and allure of the Higashi Mikawa area on a global platform through Ironman events. Your continued support and participation are invaluable to us as we work towards creating memorable experiences for athletes, citizens, and sponsors alike.

We invite you to join us in anticipation of the rescheduled event in 2025, where we aim to deliver an exceptional and unforgettable experience for all participants.
